A STRUCTURAL SURVEY is a comprehensive inspection of the structural elements of a building. This type of survey provides an appraisal of the:-
Construction – Ground Conditions – Nearby Trees and Shrubs – Foundations – Subsidence – External Walls – Internal Walls – Internal Finishes – Existing Beams – Structural Alterations – Roofs – Ceilings – Floors – Mezzanines – Staircases – Extensions – Cellars – Basements – Dampness – Drains – Retaining Walls – Outbuildings.
Our Engineers will visit the property and provide a detailed written structural report on the condition of these areas and identify the cause of any defects. The structural report will also include the Engineers recommendations for remedying any defects and a guide to the likely cost of any repairs.
The Survey does not include a valuation of the property.
The inspection usually takes between 1 – 3 hours depending on the size of the building with the written report being prepared within 3 working days of the inspection.
For a small additional cost the report can be prepared within 48 hours

A SPECIFIC DEFECT REPORT is a comprehensive inspection of a specific area of a building. This type of survey is generally required when a purchase surveyor considers there is possible subsidence or other structural or damp defects in a building.
Our Engineers will visit the property and provide a detailed written structural report on the condition of the area(s) and identify the cause of any defect(s). The structural report will also include the Engineers recommendations for remedying the defect(s).
The survey does not include a valuation of the property.
